Understanding TruAssure’s Individual Plans and Finding the Best One for You

If you’re on the hunt for the best dental insurance plan for you or your family, you’ve come to the right place. TruAssure’s variety of individual and family plans give you options so you can choose a plan that fits your budget and coverage needs best.

No matter which plan you prefer, all of our plans offer important preventive coverage such as three cleanings and two exams per year, with both in-network and out-of-network coverage. Our Choice and Choice Plus plans also offer services such as teeth whitening, implants and, in the case of Choice Plus, orthodontia services.

Additionally, because our plans are independent of your health insurance, you’ll have lower out-of-pocket costs than a plan that’s “embedded” in your health plan.

Max Savings Plan

Our Max Savings plan is exactly what it sounds like — it gives you the most vital dental coverage while providing you with maximum savings. This plan covers 100 percent of preventive services after the deductible is paid. These services include exams, cleanings, X-rays and fluoride treatments, as well as sealants and space maintainers for children under age 14.

The Max Savings plan also covers basic services and major treatments at 50 percent coinsurance (typical for most plans). If you’re looking for a dental plan that will fully cover preventive services, and you don’t expect to need other services such as fillings, root canals, crowns or bridges in the next year, Max Savings may be the ideal choice for you. You’ll minimize your monthly premium while still ensuring coverage for the important preventive services you need to maintain your oral health.

Choice Plan

If you prefer more flexibility, consider our Choice plan. You can choose between three different annual maximums – $1,250, $2,000 or $3,000. No matter which annual maximum you choose, each person on the plan only pays a $100 lifetime deductible once for the duration of the plan.

The Choice plan has no waiting periods for any service, and coverage for all service levels increases each year for the first three years you are a member, continuing at the highest coverage level after that.

In addition to many of the same coverage options offered by Max Savings, the Choice plan includes coverage for teeth whitening and dental implants and richer coverage for other services. Choice may be the perfect option for you if you anticipate needing dental services that go beyond preventive care, but still expect to stay below the highest annual maximum offered.

Choice Plus Plan

Our third plan option for individuals and families is the Choice Plus plan, which, unlike many dental insurance plans, offers orthodontia services. If you or your family members are in need of orthodontic work, this is the plan for you.

Like the Choice plan, the Choice Plus plan also lets you can choose between three annual maximums — $1,250, $2,500 or $5,000 — and each person covered by the plan has a lifetime deductible of only $100. In addition, the Choice Plus plan includes coverage for adult and child orthodontia as well as more coverage for implants than the Choice plan. You’ll also receive richer coverage for other services, like tooth extractions and crowns.
